The 85^th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), the greatest exhibition event in Greece, was physically held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, observing all the necessary hygiene protocols. The fair was the first major Exhibition organized in Europe in 2021 and has set the organizational bar for the corresponding events.

WATT+VOLT actively attended the TIF 2021 with a powerful presence, including an 80sqm booth into the Energy Pavilion “energia”.

During the 9 days fair the PRECEPT Project Co-Originator Mr. Konstantinos Arvanitis with Mrs. Kanela Karatzia from WATT+VOLT had the chance to brief the visitors, the energy experts, and the energy authorities about the project concept, the project demonstration sites, and the PRECEPT objectives.

The public audience was highly interested in further engagement with the project progress, while discussions with municipalities and Greek Energy Authorities took place, leveraging the PRECEPT approach for further smart cities exploitation.

On Sunday, September 12 the European Commission (EC) organized the event “Greece’s position in the European family: challenges in the face of a more digital, green and innovative future”.  The Vice President of the European Commission Mr. Margaritis Schinas,  was the keynote speaker.

Mr. Konstantinos Arvanitis from WATT+VOLT attended the event and discussed with the EC Vice President about the digital transformation in European’s energy sector towards the minimum carbon footprint and the EU citizens well being.
